Game Day and Play Format
- The first 2 practices will be player evaluations by the technical staff to ensure that all players are evaluated equally and fairly. Teams will be set after this, e-mailed out, and added on TeamLinkt. The technical staff and club reserve the right to remix the teams if necessary to ensure a positive learning environment for all players and parents.
All sessions and games will be held in a proper soccer format which consists of warm-up, dynamic stretching, and small-sided games.
- Game format will be 5v5(with goalie) for U7-U9
- Game format will be 7v7(with goalie) for U11-U13
- 1 Volunteer Ref will be on the field for each of the games
Each team will require one team leader and one sideline assistant team leader. The team leader will ensure that substitutions and best game practices are followed while the sideline leader will ensure each player gets equal playing time and remains organized on the bench. The team roster sizes will be no more than 10-12 players depending on age group.
MJSA reserves the right to vary the play format, if necessary, to ensure more fun and competitiveness.
We will use TeamLinkt for leaders to communicate with their teams, and provide other important information. Please download the app if you have not done so already.
